Hi Reader
So glad that the January trial month of 74 days is done and we’re now into the paid subscription part of the year!
Was it a fast, but long month for you too?
On top of client work and two fab new podcast episodes with Dr. Zoe Detko and Kyle Soo, I've been doing a Positive Intelligence coaching course AND getting workshop support from Chamber Low Carbon as part of my B Corp Journey.
It's been a rollercoaster juggle, but I’m all in. :D
More news from me at the end, but with the work year in full swing, my focus for this month's edition is on work trends, AI and mindset shifts.
International Women's Day is also coming up next month and with various political shenanigans going down, I'm also hyper aware of the impact of inflexible working on inequity. We need to be accelerating action or these things will never change!
So, here's your 3-2-1 to help you take action by learning, sharing, and doing.

Three Resources
1 - RTO Mandates Fuel Inequity
This drive to get bums on seats is having a disproportionately negative impact on a variety of DEI-related workforce communities, including those who are disabled, neurodivergent, from disadvantaged backgrounds, and parents (especially working mums).
No wonder people are resigning to seek work elsewhere.
2 - Putting the Human Back into Work
Isabel Berwick of the Financial Time shares her thoughts on future work trends, from agentic AI becoming our new work buddy, to tackling loneliness in the workplace, supporting DEI, and addressing the issue of overwork. (Finally!)
3 - Preparing for a New World of Business
We live in a digital world, but we're playing by an old set of rules with schooling systems that prepare us for work that no longer exists. Daniel Priestley shares frameworks and entrepreneurial skills that can help us thrive in our future of business.
Don't be put off by the click bait title and intro, I found this episode so valuable, I listened twice and took notes!

Two Thoughts
1 - Themed Work Days
Instead of juggling every type of task every day, give each workday a focus. You might have a deep work day for strategy and creation, a meeting day for calls and collaboration, and an admin day for emails and planning.
What do you gain from intentionally structuring your week with calendar blocks designated as “Meeting Mondays” or “Focus Fridays”?
- It reduces context-switching and makes work feel more intentional and less overwhelming.
- It helps improve your mental clarity and productivity by getting you into a flow state.
2 - Energy-Based Scheduling
Instead of forcing yourself into a rigid 9-to-5 routine, align tasks with your natural energy levels.
If you’re most creative in the morning, block that time for deep work. If you hit an afternoon slump, schedule admin or lower-energy tasks. Recognising when you work best and planning accordingly can help you get more done with less effort.
Small tweaks lead to big improvements in focus and balance over time, so reflect and adapt regularly.

One Action
Define Your 'Control Alt Delete' Moment
We're being exposed to profound changes and challenges in our work, social, political and economic landscapes, which requires us to transform how we do, be, and think in the world.
Do you want to stay the same old you, fearing the future? Or are you ready to be more explorative?
As Brian Solis, author of MindShift, explains in this podcast interview, we can no longer plan for the future linearly. Instead we need to think exponentially.
Shifting our mindset requires a reboot or a reset.
How do you want to reboot?
- Start with exponential thinking. Think big, think outside of what's comfortable, be curious)
- Make a plan around the skills / tools / behaviours you think you need to develop to become the shifted version of 'you'.
- Note what moves you? It's easier to make change in areas of interest or deep purpose.
- How might this journey of reset look? Be brave and optimistic! Break it down into small, incremental steps.
The world we live in today can be a better place, if someone like you invests in yourself to help us all be better together.
